Camera ready art?
Camera ready art is clean, clear art, dark black ink on a white background not needing any cleanup or changes.
There is no charge for increasing size of camera ready art.
There is no art charge for anything from our clip art books or just lettering.

Examples that are NOT camera ready:

1. Small art (business cards, etc.) – become distorted/fuzzy edges, etc. when increased in size.
2. Anything in pencil
3. Artwork with different shades of the same color.
4. Multicolor artwork – each color must be extracted (color separated) in order to photograph each color and
Produce (imprint the image on) a separate "screen" for each color in the design/logo.

The term "Screen-printing" (like "Kleenex" to mean all tissue) is often misused to include all types of printing.
Screen-Printing is a process where ink is pressed through open areas (holes) in a "screen" (a mesh fabric) to
place the desired image on the shirt, etc. The shirt is then run through a special controlled temperature dryer to cure the ink.
If the design is one color, there is only one camera/film shot and one screen needed (generally known as a screen or a film/screen charge.)

When there is more than one color in a design (and those colors butt against each other), each color must be "separated out" – a
separate film shot and screen is required for each color in the design. There will be a reasonable art charge on multicolor designs
if the customer does not provide color separated camera ready art. If you call and describe your design, I can probably let you know
if you have camera ready art. Your art can also be e-mailed to determine if there would be an art charge and how much.

One color designs (and providing camera ready art) is always the least expensive to the customer when ordering screenprinting.

The ink in this process is opaque and thus blocks out the color of the garment, so screen-printing works on all colors (light or dark).
The ink color selected must simply have a good contrast with the garment color.

We also have"clip art" books available with 1000’s of different images and many letter fonts to create special designs/logos for our customers.
